DJ cases are probably the most overlooked pieces of DJ equipment. In order to prolong the life of your DJ equipment not only do you have to perform daily maintenance but you should get the proper containers.
When I purchased my first DJ equipment I overlooked this simple step. Grant it I did not move my DJ equipment around a lot but on long hauls I wish I invested a little bit of money for a lot of protection.
Cases for DJ equipment are built primarily for DJ turntables and DJ mixers. Needles and cartridges often come in their own cases. You can get cases for your DJ headphones as well.
Sometime DJs are called to do a power set to give the house DJ a break. In this case there are DJ bags or LP bags for power sets. You use these bags to hold your power mixes. These mixes are the ones that will help make a name for your self.
DJ cases can be customized as well. All you do is take down the dimensions of your DJ equipment and give it to your local pro DJ shop supplier that builds DJ cases. It may cost a little more but when your livelihood is on the line you need to protect your investment at every turn.
I have an Akai MPC 3000 and made the mistake early on about not having a case for it. I searched all over the place but no one made a case for this sampler/drum machine/midi production center. So it took a beating to the point where I had to get it serviced and I was out of work for 2 months.
I can't stress the importance of protecting your DJ gear enough.
So to protect your DJ equipment I listed some DJ cases for all of your DJ equipment. These are inexpensive cases and will not empty your bank account.
A special note for Mobile DJs. If you decide to buy individual components for your DJ PA system rather than a pre packaged set up then you need to look for cases that can hold your amplifier, mixer, EQ, effects, recording devices and storage drawer.
Make sure the it has wheels. Here is one I like and you may also.

Protect your DJ equipment now so you can use it for a long time.
