| Crown Amplifiers...A Deserving Name - Review of the Crown XTi 4000 Amplifier |
Hi,
Well my friend Nelson has done it again. First he publishes an amazing 12 page review of Rane Serato Scratch Live now he done it again with 10 page review of the Crown XTi 4000 Amplifier.
Nelson is no slouch when it come to his audio equipment and he knows his stuff. Any true audiophile has an ear for a particular sound that is satisfying. Nelson meets the requirement.
In this review the Crown XTi 4000 Power Amplifier Nelson gives you a full blown review that is sure to help you in your decision on buying a qualified amp for your audio or DJ setup. My production partner and I have a Crown amp for our studio we bought years ago for a pair of Tannoy nearfield monitors. They still sound great.
But enough of the rant. Below is page 1 of the review. You can download the entire review in PDF format at then end of this newsletter.

Before I decide to sink my heart and soul into a product for review I try my best to select a company who takes great pride on their products. One who offers Quality build product at a reasonable cost to the consumer. One who can separate themselves from the rest with their uniqueness, as well as support their products without any questions asked. Finding a company at this caliber takes work and not too many exist.
When I find such company I make it my business to put them in their rightful place. Places like the DJ community where it will get the exposure it deserves.
The reason I started to review and write about DJ equipment is to help educate the up coming and veteran DJ’s to understand what is available to them in the market place. Thru the years I have spent a lot of money on equipment that is still operating at its best. Not knowing that there is hardware being offered at a more reasonable price that can out perform my once expensive hardware.
I am a very difficult person to satisfy when it comes to audio equipment and electronic devices. The reason for my difficulty is that I am a true believer in quality built product. Everything I own is quality built. There are times when consumers have to pay a premium to own a piece of good, quality built product, and that’s understandable, as long as the product is built to last for years to come.
My reviews are based on real life hands on experience with the product being reviewed. What makes my review unique is that I perform all tests. All the products that I review are put thru daily usage, as a DJ would. I will not write up a review without handling and testing the product myself.
I will report the bad and the good of the products regardless of the type of relationship I may have with the company. This is what sets me apart from the rest my true honest evaluation of the product that I share with all.
I would like to extend my thanks to Andy Flint from Crown International for making this review possible and giving me the opportunity to review the XTi4000. When I contacted Andy and proposed my request Andy couldn't’t be more excited in putting his product to the test. When you meet people like Andy who get excited about their own product you cannot help but get excited as well. This is the type of confidence I like to see from companies who claim to manufacture great products.
Crown International has been around since 1947 and has grown to be one of the largest and most respected manufactures of power amplifiers and microphones for professional use. When a company can last this long manufacturing pretty much the same type of product it says a lot about the company and their products.
