Hi,
I just wanted to pass a couple of articles along to you.
I read the official complaint and it's crazy what deals companies do behind each others backs.
Scratch DJ Sues Activision: Is DJ Hero In Jeopardy?
A pair of indie gaming companies may have tossed a wrench into Activision's plans to piggyback on the success of its Guitar Hero franchise with the upcoming DJ Hero game. Genius Products and Numark Industries, the two companies behind the as-yet-released Scratch: The Ultimate DJ game, have filed a lawsuit in California against Activision and developer 7 Studios for "intentional interference with contract, breach of contract, conversion and misappropriation of trade secrets."

Payola: Once a Dirty Word, Now the Basis of Internet Radio
Payola - the illegal practice of paying or in any other way bribing a radio station to play your song - has existed since the advent of pop music. In the 1960s, Alan Freed was the first person convicted of payola and the book Hit Men described in detail how the practice was rife in the 70s and 80s. When the U.S. government clamped down on it, record companies (and the radio stations benefiting from payola) got around the problem by paying "independent promoters" who would do the dirty work for them.
