    "Tighten Up!" Web site Updates

You might have noticed a few changes to the web site. A new mast head logo is in place with a cool blue color. I made the changes because another site similar to mine copied my color scheme so I decided to do them one up. I hope you like it.

Phase 2 of the RSS or Really Simple Syndicate is complete. Download these RSS feed readers.

    Feed Reader

Copy and paste this URL into your feed reader to get your feed:

Now you can bypass the newsletter and get tips, reviews and news on DJ equipment as I update my web site. However, you'll still need to be subscribed to the newsletter in order to get your monthly password to view to videos.

I like Feed Demon the most but it's only a demo. The user interface is very simple to use and it looks the best. It shows you the enclosed video files so you can download and look at the DJ video tips I post. Jaeger is the next best in my opinion. The others don’t indicate clearly the enclosed video files.

I'll be posting my own Podcast as well. I’m still working out the kinks. In this podcast you’ll get custom beats, samples and Hiphop songs. You can use these two readers to download the podcasts directly to your media player such as the Apple iPod.

Mini Tip: How To Beat Match Faster

Get your incoming tune playing in the headphones with the "live" tune too. Kill all the bass, put treble and mid up full, set pfl so that the monitored (incoming) is fairly quiet.

Both tunes should be playing in headphones but non live tune is very distinct on account of it being brightened up with EQ settings.

You will beat match much faster and easier by using hi hats and other top end rather than relying on the bass beat. Takes a bit of getting used to but it will become pinpoint accurate.
