I asked my DJ friends "What is the best DJ equipment on the market today?" Well needless to say that they came back with a ton of different types of DJ equipment.

I had to tell them to keep you, the reader, in mind. So I asked them "What equipment on the market can help you improve your DJ skills?"

We complied a list of DJ equipment that will help you take your skills to the next level. Now there is some debate in the DJ world about is it the DJ equipment or practice that makes you a better DJ?

In my opinion it's both. You can have great DJ skills but if you are trying to perform on second rate DJ equipment or DJ equipment that's not made for DJing then it doesn't matter how good you are.

However, if you take your skills and use the proper DJ equipment then you will see a vast improvement.

So it can go either way but as I always say "It's easy when you have the right equipment."

The school of thought is there is no way around practicing and I agree. If you can find the rhythm of a track and mix to that track seamlessly then the best DJ equipment may not help you much further.

But you can benefit from the best DJ equipment if you're scratching and doing tricks. What the manufacturers are finding out is that DJs in particular battle DJs are wanting their DJ equipment to do more and make them better.
