DJ Equipment Make: Technics
DJ Equipment Model: SLDZ 1200
Pros: Looks very nice.
Cons: This is gonna take a while.
1. - You can't scratch with the pitch lock on or you get a weird digital noise.
2. - You can't set the cue point with the platter when the pitch lock is on or you get a weird digital noise.
3. - If you slow down a lot when the pitch lock is on you get an echo which sounds like a double beat.
4. - The scratching sound does not sound at all like vinyl. It sounds digital and strange.
5. - The digital effects are horrible. None of the are useable. The auto pan goes from side to side much too fast. The rest sound like there is something wrong with the player.
5 - It takes entirely too long to read a disc. at least 3 times as long as the Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK2. I have 2 and they are far superior.
6. - It will not read at least 15% of all burned CD's.
7. - The platter is too sensitive and it can't be used to pitch bend. You can only ride the pitch control.
8. It takes too long to set cue points.
To sum it up, these things are terrible. I have 2 Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK2's and the club I play at has Denon 2600F rack mounts and both are far superior.
They read anything you put in them, cue up fast, and are easy to pitch bend. Anyone thinking about buying these things better econsider.
If you are, I have 2 Technics SLDZ 1200 for sale! Mine are heading for ebay after one month of ownership!
These are obviously the beta version.
Oh yeah, they are finicky about MP3 songs also. They sometimes stop for no reason while playing them.
